A Sunset and a fish,
I'm officially started my season last night it seems our reservoirs are starting to pick back up after a little bit of a golden algae bloom that put at least my kayak fishing on Hard Times but looks like we're on the up-and-up hopefully I'll use this as my kickoff I'll report back as I can with all sorts of fun pictures from the scenery and fish of course and for those who can't stand my sexy legs I'll try to leave those out of the pictures

Big thanks always enjoying being active on this forum. It's a lot of fun being part of this crowd
Re: **Summer blog 2018**
So I haven't gotten a good bite on home reservoirs of late so hit the local river tonight. Took a buddy out yakking and brought my favorite river rod the X7 SC. Look out " monters" ahead. Haha despite lack of a size they are abundant and oh so colorful They loved the nuclear green 3in senko! Top water is on but buzz frog a bit too big for the mighty might buckets but there are some beasts to be had, hopefully by me soon Also some scenery

Big thanks Cal!
Side note I know it's old news........ but those who have not you need to go ahead and do yourself a favor and get an X7 I really hope Mr. Ito over at Megabass does a new iteration of this line. Holler if you hear me I think there's enough talk at least on here to Warrant some sort of the discussion at the Round Table .
I just have to praise my latest X7 Edition the Super Criffhanger. Such a Nifty little "wakizashi", like other specimens I've had the pleasure fishing It's relatively easy setting the hook! seems like the rod does a lot of the work for you like it has instincts before your instincts so to speak.
I will also take this note to throw out quick thought about a Megabass line let me know what you cats think. Not sure if it's been done and I've done plenty of research but Mr. Ito please put a World's Limited Blade Edition or something of that effect I see a lot of great lineage, history, Form, and Function that many real world blade applications can also somewhat be paralleled in fishing rods Sounds sounds nutty but hear me out.
Scimatar - all round medium heavy type at any 6'11" or 7 foot even 1/4oz-1oz med/fast
Galdius - shorter medium heavy leaning on the heavier side say 6'9" 3/8-1.25oz fast
Rapier - longer medium 1/4oz-3/4oz fast action at 7'6"! love that Western Flip!!!
Claymore - Longer at 7'11" heavy versatile 3/8-2oz regular action offset handle.
Xiphos - traditional shorter finesse oriented stick 6'3". med/fast 1/16-3/8oz
Anyway just some of my rambling nonsensical ideas

Re: **Summer blog 2018**
The "Can" bro. Get out there - theyre busting hard all this week with the warmer weather. Ive caught about 5 of these (5- 9lb range ) in just one spot in Boulder. The bass are on the lean side but that will change soon.Cristo wrote:Yes sir a bit further down by granite reef. great action, need to find the beasts in all that slop By all means please share yo!

Re: **Summer blog 2018**
Some choice work done at the "can". Did most of my time buzzing Stanley Ribbits, no takers that way tonight but the 110+1 was sure handy. Broke in the X7 BD type to the Xcellent!!!! That thing is so cherry for the jerk That tip though, ewww wee!! Btw the Gold ZPI M spool is bananas on the IS 63 "Citrus Berry Illusion" So in short get on that ZPI spool train, and like Cal stated the BD Type X is dope as a jerkbait rod, also in my hands If you can source it go get that girl! The fine a@@ tip kept her pinned like a champ and the 5 power tired her out enough for me to gently get her into the zen bucket Enjoy...Thanks to Ayo8, bang!

Re: **Summer blog 2018**
Okay so I took my own advice Some work at the local salt tonight. Had a blast, no size of course but hell of a lot of fun for me. Plus side is I busted in the ASL Force 3 The ASL plus RI ManBearPigz on 3/0 oz laced with 10lb PP on the Brennie was super fun .The X7 SC with 6lb P-line on the 12' Aldie and SK 1/8oz Spinner Bait plus Zman grub was neato as well. Some pics of course
