Big SoCal bass
New to the forum and I figured my first post should be from a recent fishing trip! This fish hit a squarebill I was working through some flooded brush.

Nice one dude! Catching a big one on a square bill is really rewarding.

Awesome fish, welcome to the forum.

I spent a lot of time on Castaic in the previous two decades. I still wouldn't have guessed it because it looks so dry around it. The rock that you can get to from shore on that lake it fun to fish with a crank. The riprap around the west marina is very good with a crank. We used to sneak in to fish the afterbay inlet.ancamaro93 wrote:I was at Castaic!toddmc wrote:Solid. I can’t tell where it is from that picture!

The lake is actually a lot more full than it was a few months ago. I've always had better luck with the jerkbait bite here, but all the riprap that's currently flooded looks perfect for a crank.toddmc wrote:I spent a lot of time on Castaic in the previous two decades.
