Big SoCal bass

Post by ancamaro93 » Thu May 17, 2018 4:22 pm

New to the forum and I figured my first post should be from a recent fishing trip! This fish hit a squarebill I was working through some flooded brush.

I spent a lot of time on Castaic in the previous two decades. I still wouldn't have guessed it because it looks so dry around it. The rock that you can get to from shore on that lake it fun to fish with a crank. The riprap around the west marina is very good with a crank. We used to sneak in to fish the afterbay inlet.

Thanks! I just love catching big fish on anything with treble hooks really.

The lake is actually a lot more full than it was a few months ago. I've always had better luck with the jerkbait bite here, but all the riprap that's currently flooded looks perfect for a crank.
