Even though its super heavy, its still super smooth and made in Japan
The pearl color is my favorite, I wish Shimano would make a stradic MG model in pearl.
It don't get used anymore but I thought I would post a pic.
If I'm correct The Stradic FH came out about around 2003.

I got my near enough NIB FH at the end of last year, smooth and dependable they sure were! I have both the 200 & 4000 FH - mind you not with the push button folding handles.
Plus this was the epitome of when manufacturers cared enough about their products to give spare spools, oil bottles, and other little extras with them.
The only thing that honestly sucked with this series (including other reels of this vintage) was the cleared over gold electroplating on the cowlings, they went green at the first sight of water - hard to find a good vintage reel like you've shown!

I still have this reel on my NRX spinning rod. I sold my Ci4 and kept this reel instead

I still use mine! I love the FH series.
I am now limiting my stradics to FH, FI, and FJ's only because I am no fan of the newer drag mechs.
I just rebuilt my 1000FH and put it on an old St. Croix rod and been having a blast with it.
I put ceramic bearings in the line guide roller and tightened up the shims and just like new again!
