Very nice Rick! That Steez LTD TN looks pretty slick with the red on it.

Aquaftm45 wrote:Evergreen Stallion RS Limited arrived a day early. Spectacular look and feel. Thought it would be more Mike Tyson and less Hector Macho Camacho, but it has it's share of flair. Also, hoped that the TI/TOR semi micro's would be big enough for Braid to Leader, but it's pushing it even with a 2.5PE/12lb leader. Think the top 3 guides must be 4.0's, was crossing my fingers for 4.5's. Regardless, no regrets, it's an all out baller.
Now to figure out which reel to pair it with. The Steez A looked wrong, Steez limited looked wrong. Pulled out the MB IS standby's, and seems they look stellar on whatever I pair them with. Problem is, too many rods, not enought IS's. Balance point with 155 grams was on the collar that is between the reel seat and the rod, 165 grams (Steez A) was on the tip of the lockdown nut. Was throwing around the ideal of putting a Z-Pride on it @ 170 grams, seems like that would be just about perfect. We will see. Enjoy..

Yeah; looks stellar both ways. I think a z pride with some red accents should be dope.

Oh yes it would! Really wish they would have put a TW on that reel. You happen to know anyone who has one?

Looks Great. Love me some HLC.

Would like to know what the new HLC spool weighs?

Thanks. I will tear the Zillion down this week and weigh the spool.

Well Done, those are some nice looking rigs! What are you using the small straight shank hooks for, if I may ask?h

My boiled down eclectic arsenal.

From the top.
-Individual Development Paradox 7603 (Japan)
-Fenwick Techna GP TAV-GP74 CL J (China)
-Evergreen Stallion RS "Limited IRSC-69MH (Japan)
-Luxxe Oltre 6'7 M (Japan)
-Daiwa Heartland 20th Anniversary "Rod n Reel" 651 M/MHRB RR17 (Thailand or Malasia, cant remember)
-Luxxe Efreet 7'0 MH (Japan)
-Tulala Harmonix MHSS 78 (Japan)
-Megabass Shorluck Limited SLL 7'6L (China)

My original idea was to purge all of my non Japan made rods, which I still might. The Fenwick, Heartland and Shorluck have proven hard to replace. Each are somewhat unique in their own way. I was also going to sell the Efreet, but glad I didn't, the more I use it, the more I realize it's a poor mans Steez RD, maybe the best value out of all the rods I have.

I like this and it has given me ideas.. I know for a fact that a little noise never hurts , so the beads are a must..
If you decide you want to sell a couple rigs, I'd buy. We have to support one another habits... :big grin: \:D/
After fishing with one of the members here, I did some fabrication myself
