**Another good Canyon episode**

Post by Cristo » Tue Oct 03, 2017 11:05 pm

Tonight's guest stars were the X7 EM paired with IS63 Racing Illusion with 15lb P-Line Floroclear, 1/2oz tung, 5/0 gammie with Keitech Flappers, and the other star was the Hien and 09' Aldebaran set up from Sunday day trip. Man surface was a popping tonight of course no luck there ](*,) . but fish were a busy eating. Well the Hien Aldy combo got me a few like this...The Extreme Mission and Racing Illusion did alright, hit a couple small buckets but then this flatty freight trained my t rig! What fun that was, even lipped the sucker :laugh1: Just have to say what a joy the EM is to fish for bottom contact. May just be me but she is all the way nice! Enjoy TTers!

Were you at boulder cove or on the main lake?

I was there the other day on the main lake and tortilla creek. The lake was like glass and the moon was bright - just beautiful. I was throwing an i-slide 262, hinkle trout, and a LT field mouse right before dark, and caught some nice 3-6lbers. I notice the past couple weeks that the bass are most active between 6- 7pm - the golden hour. After that, i have to really work for my bass, Lol.

Nice catches, Cristo!

My intention was to go by the bridge back in Boulder but I stayed on the main lake near the marina in the shore and is picking them off in the weeds and a couple on the bottom. Thanks man hope to see you out there one day

Nice catches. I love kayaking at night. There is something to moving around under human power quietly cutting through the slack water in stealth mode that is enjoyable. Them upside down reels are activating my autisitm though. They're not even cheap ones.
