I was wondering when u were gonna post those pics!
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Re: Introducing the Cosugi works pixy...
awesome mod. They don't make a left hand orange pixy, so I did this instead.

I believe that is Sol side plates on the body of either a silver or red pixy. can swap the magnet holder from pixy into alphas/sol side plate to fitradu_andrei wrote:... but it existsspencerinstl wrote: They don't make a left hand orange pixy

You are perfectly right.BARRAMANIAC wrote:I believe that is Sol side plates on the body of either a silver or red pixy. can swap the magnet holder from pixy into alphas/sol side plate to fitradu_andrei wrote:... but it existsspencerinstl wrote: They don't make a left hand orange pixy
I wanted an Orange Amber Pixy, but unfortunately, as Spencer said, this was done only with right hand retrieve, so I ”borrowed” Cal's idea of making a 2003 Limited Edition Orange Pixy in left hand retrieve ( http://www.tackletour.com/reviewcustomreels.html ) but instead of painting the side plates I used them from a Daiwa Sol.

That looks amazing, but somehow it also looks a ton smaller? Maybe it is the less reflective finish, but it really looks tiny!ss30378 wrote:

Probably a combo of the paint, longer handle and bigger spool making the body look smaller?
Re: Introducing the Cosugi works pixy...
I didn't even think about the handle being longer. In any case, that thing is stunning!ss30378 wrote:Probably a combo of the paint, longer handle and bigger spool making the body look smaller?
Do aftermarket paint jobs hold up any better the the factory ones?
Re: Introducing the Cosugi works pixy...
Its all about the using quality components and prep work when it comes to long lived paint. But compared to daiwa factory paint just about anything beats that.

Had to put the sv spool in for a quick pic. The first pixy sv?
