New UL Vintage Rod Build

Post by shu-bfs » Fri Apr 21, 2017 12:27 am

Just finished an UL casting rod build. Bought an old handle from fleabay which needed a lot of work. Had my rod guy attach a Lamiglass UL blank. Total cost $120 and I still have another handle left over. Next one will be all stealth black

That's where I got the idea but didn't want to pay the high price

Love it. I bet people's jaws will drop when they see it cast UL baits.

That is a thing of beauty!. And it has given me an idea to build one like it! I always liked pistol grip rods. The only kind I used growing up. Now that I know how to build rods (built around 20 so far) this is just something to spark it up again. Thanks for posting

Im working on another one. Same handle but blackened and a little different rear cork. Also same 5'6" UL blank with black thread and micro guides
