New fish species on my personal list in fresh water

Post by Polkfish1 » Sat Feb 25, 2017 10:51 pm

Caught it this morning (Feb 26) off dock in Central Florida. Was 4.5 pounds according to the bocas. On 110 junior clear laker. Some type of cichild? This is new to me. Fought like a beast.

Got on the interwebs. Guess I should have done it sooner. Just a tilapia  Guess I should have kept it. Anyway, my first!

Theres a lot of those tilapia where I live. I could never get them to bite on any lure. Ive caught a bunch; snagging them on a crankbait, though. They can get really big, and can put up a good fight, especially when snagged on the tail, Lol.

I agree, those are ono' delicious!, and a good source of omega 3 :D

Great first tilapia, OP =D>
