Otterods build on NFC blank, spiral wrap jerk bait rod and in testing.. results.
rod build is superb, i love the carbon accents and the magtai balancing.
Reel may change.

Thanks again Matt. definitely worth the pressures of the day.

NFC CB 704-1 7'0"
I was looking for the perfect "IMO" jerkbait rod and I was looking to get some of the action from the loomis CBR845
Precisely the 1/2-5/8oz jb ranges. I caught that fish on the end of a long cast.. it just felt like weight and the Duo Realis 110 casted very well and stuck to the fish face.. I am still experimenting but love the rod it just seem capable of so much more.
I'm looking to see if my other reel will be better.. I wanted a darth Vadder them..

Very nice! I've got a Point Blank custom build with a PTS seat and Matagi carbon foregrip like yours that my builder should be finishing today or tomorrow. That reel seat is so comfortable in my hands.

So the reel did change and this is my cold water weapon.
I ended up with a TDZ Ian tuned with an SV spool in it of all things.. i did have a megabass honeycomb spool in it but
( no pun intended) the spool wasn't as versatile as the SV spool but NOW that I have TASTED the ZPI M life I just may go with one of them in the TDZ.. But i would want it to be black.. I guess i will web surf for that tomorrow.

Brought me some MB Vision 110's and I am off to the races, I only use floor for this setup but wanted to know if anyone uses copo or mono? And If so, which brand? I and curious to know about the seaguar finesse line as well if you've used it..

Do you know what handle grip he used for this? I can't tell if it's carbon or EVA. Hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks nice whatever it is

I use 8# Sufix Siege for jerkbaits. Its some tough stuff, very abrasion-resistant and a little stretchy (but not too much). Independent tests showed it to break at 13.2 lbs. Its just right for jerkbaits and 6-12' diving cranks. I like17# for big squarebills, too.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
