Gotcha. If you get bored with the orange you can swap out the the engine covers.

Hi all, I am trying to find a tdz to buy, but before I buy one I had a few questions on parts compatibility. I was looking into handle upgrades, star drag upgrades, and internal upgrades. I have searched the internet for more info but info is hard to understand clearly. I come from using the newer daiwa reels, from what I understand. Most Daiwa handles and star drags should fit the tdz… question is where do I find the handle nut that would fit, I know hedgehog studios has some but would it be the 8mm or 9mm nut. I am trying to move my current handle and star drag from my steez A to the TDZ platform. For the internal upgrade questions, I saw that there is a 7.1 lefty gear upgrade on tackletour so that answers one of my question; but how about the crank shaft? I read that it is made of aluminum, any brass upgrades? Will the older steez crank shaft swap over? Last question is, are there any other internal/external concerns I should know about?

That's a rare spool. I have that exact spool in an IP68 for pitching and skipping weightless plastics on a gen 1 PP. Does an excellent job.

He believes it to be Rays which I would agree. You are probably thinking of the MB honeycomb 36 mm spool. Which in fact, is rare.

That Ray's spool is rare too. They were only offered for a short while for the Zillion. They were the 1st Ray's to move to the satin finish and the 1st deeper "long cast" versions.

Yep the Zillion spool was the 1st of that kind. At the time you only had the shallow gloss finish Ray's spools. They have long since disappeared and only a heavily ported Ray's spool is available for the old Zillion. For the kind of use my Zillions see I like the old Ray's Zillion spool with the sturdier construction of the lightly ported or non ported old Ray's Zillion spool. Let's my PP pitch a 5 inch senko like a dart on 16# Sniper. Skips too.

Modern heavily ported spool:

Does the newer ported TD Zillion Ray's spool fish similar to the old non-ported one that I have? I don't like ported spools, but I almost bought one when I bought a PE long cast spool lately. Like most people, I love the old non-ported Ray's TD Zillion spool.
