Anyone know if this is a prototype or something that will be released?

Re: Monoblock Appreciation Society.
Looks like the Gambler model. Due for release March this year. Should almost be ready for pre-order.

That gambler edition is gorgeous.
Re: Monoblock Appreciation Society.
Can't wait for the Gambler. Just waiting for the green light on pre-order.
Grigio stone was added about a month ago. I know Lon and I are very happy campers. It's gorgeous in person.

I'm guessing your gonna fish them given the handle swaps?
I would, damn a shelf queen- I'd fish the hell out of that viola monoblock!
For me, the only thing that would look better than a Viola sitting in a display case would be one in my hand, covered in battle scars that tell stores of the fish I've caught & time on the water.
And yes....I will fish them all at some point.

Agreed. Understand that they're beautiful to look at but I absolutely get more pleasure out of fishing them. Something truly special about fishing monoblocks...

x3. My Viola will have it's cherry popped in Brazil on a peacock bass. Or 50.

I have a couple that are not shelved, and do get fished. The heavily modded 100xr SV 6.8 with 90mm Ito handle and German bearings is amazing, and pairs so damn well with my X7 destruction.Redlinerobert wrote:x3. My Viola will have it's cherry popped in Brazil on a peacock bass. Or 50.
Robert,
That sounds perfect man. Please...Let me know who you go with for your trip. I've been looking at going to the Amazon for the last couple of years and am planning on booking this year. There seem to be some good trip/guide services out there that specialize in getting you to less heavily pressured waters. With smaller groups and great looking accommodations. Would love to talk with you about it at some point if/when you figure out who you are booking with, if you haven't already.
Thanks
