Re: Next TDZ Project: 100M
Heres the latest, with all the redos on the frame the paint and clear got a little thick causing some mild fitment issues with the holes for the metal bar that secures the front plate. It still goes together but its not the clean getaway I should have had. A cheap air compressor (what I got for now) is to blame. Total failure on the right sideplate means I had to take it down to bare metal; will attempt paint again when possible.

From what I can tell the reel paint work looks sharp! Sorry about the fitment issues.

Thanks dude! Yeah but hey for my first go at it, I am rather pleased with the overall results. Just need to fine tune the control factor. I hope to just get another frame and so the end result is a flawless build inside and out.Fishing4Fun wrote:From what I can tell the reel paint work looks sharp! Sorry about the fitment issues.

Very nice, you've definitely hit the stormtrooper nail on the head.
Re: Next TDZ Project: 100M
Looks good man! If you redo the frame just use glass bead or walnut to blast the paint off. I think it looks awesome though

Looks great.
What paints do you use? I have used Createx Wicked and wondered if there is a better water based option.

And, more importantly to me, what do you use for a top coat?Rich Frye wrote:Looks great.
