Matt, the Super Eiger is a special rod for sure. I had the Northwall on my short list prior to TX but no need for both here. Yes the addiction... the struggle is real on these streets!

Haha.
I've only heard good things about the Eiger north wall, only downside to me is that reelseat. I like how the x7 forenut is shorter and I can put a finger on the blank.
I'll probably lay low on rods for a bit, but the northwall and new 6'6 medium Ultima are on the list. Think I'm going to play with some megabass reels for a bit, see how they stack up to my shimanos

Re: 70H Luxxe Oltre... Ultimate test. PASS! new pics added p
My only concern with this rod was how the Ti tip would hold up, especially on a heavy powered rod. Ive been using floro for that reason and it held up fine to this point. Yesterday I spooled it up with 40 lb SX1 and tied on a Jointed Claw type S soft swimbait And headed to lake Ivie looking for some pre-spawn giants. Was hitting main lake points, targeting transitions from mud to rock and boom! I swung for the fences and instantly hooked into what felt like a monster. Seconds later she broke the surface, HAWG! She made a couple hard runs right at the boat but the Oltre played her perfectly and she stayed pinned.
11.5 pounds at 28 inches! Double digit bass, 40 lb braid, and a rod breaking hook set and the Oltre didnt even get winded! Titanium tip still intact, Loving this rod.
* edit * didnt resize the pics correctly so lost the right side, oops.
