Okuma's Newest Reel Tech

Post by triple_illusion » Sun Jun 15, 2014 5:39 am

Thats right, triple_illusion now works at Okuma as a Reel Technician! I can't believe I get to fix reels for a living, God is so good to me! If you need your Okuma reels serviced, please feel free to contact the Customer Service Department to get it started. They will provide you with the information you need to send it in. Feel free to put attention Adam if you would like for me personally to service your reel 8-)

Okuma Fishing Tackle

Here is a Citrix 364LXa that I serviced for my friend Oliver, Okuma Pro Staff and Founder of Big Bass Dreams. He wanted a bigger handle so I installed an aluminum swept handle from the Komodo 364LX.

Isis 250Ti (discontinued) carbon fiber always brings a smile to my face!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! I got a few inquiries about the Komodo handle modification....that handle is sold only as a complete assembly for $24.99, and adapts onto the Citrix 364 platform without need for any additional components. For those interested, it also fits onto the smaller bassin reels such as the Helios and Komodo low-profile platforms as well.

Hey, I went back and read what I wrote earlier. I hope you know me well enough to know that wasn't being disparaging with my comments. But I was ribbing you a little! :big grin:

Do Okuma handles work on other brands?

I'm not sure, I'll have to look into it....but I know Okuma drive shafts tend to be bigger than those on Shimano and Daiwa reels...do you have a specific combination you want me to verify?
