New combo,MB and Daiwa Z

Post by Boondock » Sun Feb 16, 2014 2:40 am

Have wanted a slant for a long time... Almost pulled the trigger when Amercian Legacy did their Megabass blow out but it wasn't the rod I really wanted so I waited. Well since MB doesn't do the slant bridge any longer and I wasn't willing to pay $500+ for a used on I kind of wrote it off.
Well I got lucky and traded a MB rod for this one. It is a White Python one piece.
I have heard its not the most sensitive rod especially considering its price point but I'll see in a few months.

I had a Z2020SH but it was just too fast for the swimbaits I throw here in Colorado. So I got rid of them and picked up a new Z200 6.4. Already miss the clicking drag (haven't even used it lol) loved the red from the 2020 but the gold looks nice on the WP. Pulled the bushing out under the knob and added a bearing.
Anyways here are the pics

Plan to use the rod for baby wakes, wake jr's, small rising son's, Hudd 68, mag topwaters, and maybe large spinnerbaits.

Friggin' classic! I'll have to "borrow" it next time we are on the water together bro.

Glad to see the new set up. I had my Z on that rod for a while, and loved it. Great looking set up.

=D> =D> Beautiful setup!! You won't be disappointed. My Z has moved to the SRD, but it is a stellar fit for the WP too. :big grin:
