Going old school. Abu 2500C with mods including Avail spool, 2 bearing cog wheel and level winder. It can throw 1/20oz jig head with 2.5" baby shad in par with stock pixy 68, but much easier (very hard to backlash).

Glad you put it into good use.

Which KRX BFS rod is it on ?
How do you find its build quality and feel compared to Majorcraft rods ?

Re: Show off your BFS Casting Reels
The KRX BFS is the 6'9" version. I like it more than Major Craft Volkey BFS. It has slightly softer tip than the Volkey. Build quality is first class and it balances perfectly with a 5~6oz reel.

Oh boy. That just stole the show. Something I keep thinking about buying but never end up looking hard enough for one.springcreek wrote:Going old school. Beautiful.
Re: Show off your BFS Casting Reels
My Aldebaran BFS sitting on a Kaleido inspirare "Stingray Super Shake" probably load this up with 8lbs FC instead of the usual 5lbs i use on the Major Craft MSX bait finesse rod.
Whose got the Kaleido "Black briar"? first true bfs rod from the inspirare series!

^ Nice combo
I used to have an aldebaran mg that i sold. Should of kept it and put brenious gears in. I ended up grabbing an mg7, came in today. Wanted one as there probally going to be gone soon.
Stole the zpi handle off my conquest, i have plans for the gold avail handle, livre if i can find the money
Cleaned it, dropped in hedgehog air bearings, duralumin screw set, handle nut, and yumeya shallow spool.
Reels performs great. Couldnt be happier with this one, the conquest, and the bfs xg.

Sharp eyes.
It's the KTF 6.2g finesse spool for aldebaran bfs xg.
Re: Show off your BFS Casting Reels
did you weigh it with the bearing and the SVS system on it?
Am curious, because I want to get my own, and am oscilating between this and the Hedgehog ported one(the Hedgehog seems to have very little line capacity, and would lean towards this one)
