Three's company...KTF/ZPI/Hedgehog-Avail

Decided to see who is top dog (at least to me) on the Shimano side of the BFS fight. So here they are, all three major tuners represented right down to their version of finesse bearings and lube!



First is the Hedgehog Studios/Avail Aldebaren BFS XG:
- Avail micro-cast spool
- Hedgehog BFS air bearings w/ultra light Alchemy oil
- Avail swept drag-star
- Avail ebony wood knobs
- Hedgehog swayback handle
- Hedgehog cast control and bearing cap




Next is the ZPI BFC Aldebaren MG7:
- BFC732V0 spool w/mag brake
- SiC finesse concept micro bearings
- BFC swept handle/dragstar
- Cast control cap
- ZPI Special edition knobs




Finally got my hands on a KTF-IXA Aldebaren MG7.9:
- KTF shallow spool w/KTF brake
- IXA Micro bearings w/KTF super finesse lube
- KTF 7.9 gear swap
- IXA swept handle/dragstar/knobs
- IXA cast control cap



H.H/Avail Alde BFS XG w/X7 Super Eiger



KTF Alde MG7.9 w/PG BFS Long



ZPI Alde will be paired with either the X7 Shading X or Phase 3 Eiger Northwall... haven't decided on which one to get yet.

Awesome! I have a soft spot for KTF stuff. They are second to none in my opinion.

BTW, the Shading X is a mean rod. I think you would really enjoy it!

Once I get some time with them I will definitely give a comparison. I have to get a small scale then I will get the weights... I'll update this thread when I do.

So far, in hand the KTF Alde feels like it will be the king... or it could just be that's the one I've wanted the most for the longest time! I know it doesn't add up to much but none the less, it does have the longest free spool of all 3.
