My Starter Kit...
Here is my starter kit. Rest assured that all of these reels sit on either Megabass, G.Loomis, or Dobyns rods. So there is no Daiwa reels on Shimano rods blasphemy occuring.
From left to right, starting at the top, is a Metallic Red IZE Personal Order with Boca Bearings and a 1016 Spool, a Metallic Blue IZE Personal Order with upgraded bearings, a TD-Z R+ with upgraded bearings and carbontex, a bone stock TD-Z A.O.I with a matching ZPI Blue Emblem spool behind it, an ITO 103M with upgraded bearings/drag with TD-Z 105 spool with a R+ inductor on it, a steez 103HA with upgraded bearings Megabass IS Finesse Spool and IZE Factory Knobs, Alphas R-Edition with a polished steez handle, a KTF Alphas Finesse Custom, another Alphas R-Edtion with 6.8:1 gears and upgraded drag and bearings, Alphas ITO, Z2020 with CF handle, very rare KTF Airy Red Pixy 1 of an estimated 12 made, Zillion Type-R, another Zillion Type-R with Megabass hypercorks and anodized drag star and cast control cap, and finally a Silver Pixzilla. With the exception of the Blue Emblem, all of the spools in the background are R+ Spools
So here is where you guys come in. What should I acquire next for my collection? I would love to hear your input!

Steez SVS, T-3 SV and LIN Mars. That is what you need next.
Re: My Starter Kit...
Nice starter kit.
Mine is a bamboo pole and bobber compared to your kit.

That Steez SV definitely has caught my eye. I'm not too big a fan of the T3 platform or round reels. Although the LIN's are pretty sweet!

Wow! Bravo!
Re: My Starter Kit...
Daiwa on a G. Shimloomis rod is slightly blasphemous.Dragboatdriver wrote:Here is my starter kit. Rest assured that all of these reels sit on either Megabass, G.Loomis, or Dobyns rods. So there is no Daiwa reels on Shimano rods blasphemy occuring.
Very nice collection, it looks like you have put a lot of effort into it.

I really don't care much for them either except that red Mars is the most beautiful reel that I have ever seen.Dragboatdriver wrote:BRbasser wrote:Steez SVS, T-3 SV and LIN Mars. That is what you need next.

Re: My Starter Kit...
You have a killer starter kit, your missing a monobloc & a Lin10 IMHO. We need to see them mated to their rods. Thanks for sharing.

Re: My Starter Kit...
Zillion HLC should join the arsenal.
Re: My Starter Kit...
I was there before ShimLoomis (granted I also fished Shimano and Abu on GLoomis before the ShimLoomis buyout)...so some could say it is the other way around? Hehe...Gabriel wrote:Daiwa on a G.
