Finally got what I've always wanted!

Post by DE_Bass_Enthusiast » Mon Feb 25, 2013 4:14 pm

The Daiwa TD-ito 103M arrived in the mail today and was just as described. PRISTINE condition, I love it! Super fast shipping, great packing, and the box included all paperwork and stock drag (already has carbontex upgrade)... Thanks Van!

The reel looks amazing and appears to have hardly ever even seen water. I took my PXL Type-R off of my 6'10" Crucial MH power XF action and mounted the ito on this rod as I feel it is a better fit for it. Just spooled it up with some 20 lb braid and it is buttery smooth, can't wait to get it on the water!

This wednesday should be around 55 degrees here in Delaware so I may actually get to test it out a bit. The reel is better than I could have expected and I like it so much that I'm going to leave it stock for now, may do some more tuning later but I'm just going to see how it fishes first.

Keep an eye out for a user review on the TD-ito 103M by me in the designated forum, I will probably post it after the first day on the water with it.

Thanks for reading and here's some eye candy :evil22:

Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics (my camera wasn't charged when I decided to make this post)

X2 on the Blasphemy!! But that sure is a sick reel. Save your pennies and pick up a MB rod and really set it off

Would be nice but I can't justify spending more than 200~ on a rod, now for a reel... It's a completely different story :laugh1:

Thanks man! I've wanted one for about 7 years and finally pulled the trigger, I was just waiting for one in like new condition to pop up for a good price and got lucky. Van (dragon1) was a pleasure to deal with and really takes care of his equipment.

As my first JDM reel it feels so much better than 99% of the reels i've had my hands on. The only reel that I have that I would put it on par with is my PXL Type-R. I can now see what all the hype is about, the quality of JDM tackle is amazing.

I'll probly save up for one but keep it on the crucial just for this season. The reason I'm kind of weary of very expensive rods is the concern of breaking such a gem, and it not being replaced due to "warranty issues". I like shimano rods because they don't ask questions if one is to break, they just replace it. I like that.

The X4 Series has a warranty. ;)

Like you needed that bit of information...

There I was, staring Angelina Jolie right in the face, I scrolled down and someone had photoshopped Oprah's body onto her.

Put that work of art on a real fishing rod and it will perform to it's expectations.
