That’s a good looking reel and for me any reel with a Alphas frame is worth having and upgrading
Thanks and hell yeah they are! I even upgraded my Zonda. Drag, bearings, hedgehog parts...

Seriously thinking about that Lauda 58 with the cork knobs.

How does that monster plam? Like an older Tatula without the mag dial rubbing on your finger? I could go for that. I want a "1516" spool reel to play around with those sized spools.

Don't have an older Tat to compare, but it's about the same size as the older Zillion 1516 TW. The 1520 spool holds a ton of heavy line and is a good caster. Very consistent with no fluff at the apex. Also very good in the wind. I have a few 1516 and 1514 spools to play with. Looks like a winner!!! :big grin:

I still don't think I can pronounce your name, but I think I can name all 21 of those reels! You weren't kidding when you suggested you might have too many  =D>
I don't know if I would call that a "package", we call that a boat load!
Well done sir!

 username is just my own weird concoction. Name is Michael (US style - not Mikhail or Miguel or anything - easy ;) )...

As per reels...those are the Daiwas... ABUs and Shimanos also take up plenty of space (more ABUs than Daiwas I think)... It is a collection by now, more than anything, as I mainly fish from shore and usually just bring 1-2 reels plus an extra spool. That is what happens when you (I!) join TT :?

I’m loving these Alphas. This is a 103 Type F with SV 105 spool, 7.2:1 gears, Hawg Tech 90mm handle and carbontex drag. I had a Type R swept drag star and cast control knob coming, and then there’s a 90mm Zillion handle going on it, or maybe an 85mm Ray’s Studio carbon fiber handle.

Nothing quite like being rudely interrupted while taking the dog for a walk. Sweet combo. Enjoy!
