Bling Galore - Round 3 - some more of my reel friends

Post by pobigred » Fri Aug 24, 2012 8:49 pm

Thanks for all the prior comments. WOW did you see the post by USA-RET? Totally gruesome quality.

Here we go again - enjoy:

No real bling here - just an incredible reel - a Shimano Calais 200 AVS 6.2
Image

Daiwa JDM Z-2020 6.4 with custom I'ze 90mm handle. (I bent the other one - BOTH posts, if you can believe that)
Image

Next up is a pearl white ice Calfish custom painted TDZ 103H with a Steez 100H spool. The gold anodized tension knob cap and drag star were added. The gold screws, nut retainer, handle nut, handle and knobs are all from Semper Fi Tackle.
Image

Next is a Daiwa Steez 103HA Calfish camelion custom painted reel.
Image

Next is a gloss black Calfish custom painted Daiwa TDZ 103H. I added the gold drag star. The gold tension knob cap is being replaced with a gloss black one being custom painted by Calfish now. I needed the gold one elsewhere. The handle is stock custom painted to match reel and handles are Semper Fi Tackle.
Image

Shimano Core 100MG with CF handle and accents and knobs by Semper Fi Tackle.
Image

Daiwa Pixilla Custom painted by Calfish. Red Alphas tension knob cap and drag star. Swept graphite handle. All handle accents, red body screws and knobs by Semper Fi Tackle. Shown mounted on Megabass Black Jungle Red Demon.
Image

Stock Daiwa TDZ Type R+
Image

JDM T-3 1016SH Stock
Image

Daiwa T-3 1016H Stock
Image

Daiwa TD ITO 103M stock - there's a couple of these
Image

Daiwa Stock JDM Pixy 68 - just got it - stock
Image

Daiwa ZS200HS - there are 3 of these - only upgrade is OS 7 bearings
Image

Shimano Curado 300E -
Image

Megabass IS73C - stock
Image

OK, that's it folks. The end of the bling rounds. Stay tuned over the weekend to see which ones of these will be put up for sale, along with over 20 other reels AND some really cool rods. I am fully aware that this is the discount weekend for the big tackle vendors. But most of the reels that will be for sale, they cannot duplicate, and those that they can, will be priced lower. See if you can guess in advance which reels out of these will go up for sale. Thanks for looking.

I read your last three posts, I am showing them to my wife to make her understand how reasonable my collection is.

Thank you sir, you are a credit to us all.

   I am STILL laughing - how FUNNY. So, my insanity validates your reasonableness - I get it and support it - go for it. Let us know what she says.

Good Lord, Patrick. You got it BAD! That Pearl White Ice TD-Z looks great after you did your thing on it. You're making me wish I had kept it. Enjoy it, man!

One of the fringe benefits of being here - someone else always has more tackle than you. It is quite useful for justification, pleadings and aspiration...depending on the immediate need. :big grin:

Since the surgery, he has apparently had a little time to tinker. Though he's not gonna get back to the tournaments 'til the fall. Good luck, man! ;)
