Spooled up some 8lb Mono for play sake and was casting more than half the spool off 100' casts across the street no problem  I've used Aldebaran for 10lb Fluoro and the thinner Shooter Armilo 15lb Mono and it always took a bit of force to get the distance. Seems the wrist is all I need to flick a 5/16-1/2oz lure a mile...on the street here anyway. On the water testing will be the later this month sometime jerk baiting smallmouth.

Got to love Shimano's lineup. Winter is going to be expensive  8-)

Tightlines guys,

The combination Poison Adrena + Aldebaran is awesome =D>
I saw it for the first time at cndbasshunter and I like it now as much as when I first saw it ..
What Poison Adrena model is that? Thanks!

6'6ML that picture. I ran two of the 6'10M Poison's last summer, one for Vision 100 (10lb Fluoro) the other for Dog-X Speed Slide (15lb Mono). Caught lot's of fish still bent the odd treble on the Jerkbait setup so grabbed this softer 6'6" Medium Light Poison Adrena. It bends similarly to the XX Orochi Jerkbait Special I had in the past.

Love the Poison Adrena rods tho won't sell my 6'10M,6'6ML or my 7'4XH. Fantastic rods.

Does this swept Met 13 handle fits without a problem with the original drag star or you needed any additional spacers?
Thank you.
rockchalk06 wrote:Picked this little gem up this week. I've been searching for a nice shape D7 for a long time that wasn't 3 bills.

Upgrades:
CarbonTex Drag
New Pinion and Drive Shaft Bearings
Gold CCC
Gold Drag Star
Gold Spool from an 09 Met MG
Gold Line plate from an 09 Met MG
96mm handle and knobs from a 13 Met
Black Knob caps from a 13 Met
Black nut cover from a 13 Met
Lubed, bearings flushed and smooth as budda! Now a 9 bearing holy grail reel off the list.

Only problem is what rod do I put it on now. My GLX843 looks better with my Core 100MG7 so the search starts.
