I just traded my last Met MGL off today. I'll probably regret it later.

Why you trading them?
Ive been buying Shimano Cores. Recently sourced a NIB 100MG7. Just love the Core/Met 09 style more.

Picked this little gem up this week. I've been searching for a nice shape D7 for a long time that wasn't 3 bills.

Upgrades:
CarbonTex Drag
New Pinion and Drive Shaft Bearings
Gold CCC
Gold Drag Star
Gold Spool from an 09 Met MG
Gold Line plate from an 09 Met MG
96mm handle and knobs from a 13 Met
Black Knob caps from a 13 Met
Black nut cover from a 13 Met
Lubed, bearings flushed and smooth as budda! Now a 9 bearing holy grail reel off the list.

Only problem is what rod do I put it on now. My GLX843 looks better with my Core 100MG7 so the search starts.

Put this together a couple weeks ago. Found a new in box Core 100MG7. Paired it with my 2016 G. Loomis GLX843 MBR. Makes for one sweet 3/8 oz worm rig.

Upgrades:
CarbonTex Drag
96mm handle from a CHMGLXG
Knob Caps from a Met 13
Black Knob caps from a 13 Met
Black nut cover from a 13 Met
2 added bearings in the knobs for a 9 bearing reel.

Sweet combos, I miss my 101d7

Throw the 100d on a rod with gold highlights like the megabass 110 special...

That D7 is the nicest one I think I have ever seen modified. Well done and just beautiful!

I had a sweet 101d7 that I let go, I removed all gold parts and replaced them with black...it was pretty sick

I tried to find the pic but photobucket is a joke now

I'm considering it. Never owned one before. I'm going to make a pit stop at The Tackle Trap mid October and will hold a few

Rockchalk knocking it out of the park. 8-) Nice combos. Interested in your opinion of the Curado K and how it holds up to your D series reels.

It palms close to the way I feel the D's do. Feels very good in the hand. I'm considering using it for Frogging at Guntersville mid October to see how it holds up to that.
