Found a killer deal on an Avail 3.9mm spool for the 100D series. Made my new in box Metanium MGL into a light bait rig.

96mm Met 13 handle w/ 4 bearings shimmed
13 Met nut cover
Black line plate cover
Gunmetal 4 pin Centrifugal 3.9mm Avail spool

Will probably add some ZPI bearings later. Spooled with 10# FC Sniper and put on my 7' MF Avid. Getting excellent distance with a weightless 7' Culprit worm.

The 09' Aldebaran with Honeycomb spool by avail, air bearings, 10lb P-Line Floroclear, 3/0 ewg, and swingfat along with the 16' Destroyer Hien. About the biggest they got today but they were hitting through the weeds which was a fun challenge at Canyon :big grin: Hien proved its worth and then some as a weightless set up..... without ghilly and with ghilly :laugh1:

My latest addition a first for me, the Shimano Antares 100. Have been sleeping the last season gear wise focusing on fishing not the gear haha. Selling off a few items this fall. Metaniums MGL's, Curado K's & Conquest Rods well be buying can't wait for winter/spring shopping sprees :D

From what I hear Antares is a amazing reel for long distance casting can't wait to spool up some 12-14lb fluoro and start chucking those 12-20' diving cranks!

Added a third Shimano Poison Adrena to the arsenal this morning, thanks again to a good friend of mine. I absolutely love the accuracy and light weight the pair of 6'10" Mediums have gave me the last 2 seasons now. The third addition is the 7'4" Ex-Heavy. The action isn't labelled on the rod but feels like a Med-Fast taper. Stiff tip bends lot's in the middle of the blank. Should be nice for fishing my 1/2oz Swim Jig's with a 4" Swinging Hammer. I fish them in pretty heavy cover and have done fine with the 7'1H & 7'3XH Expride rods. This setup just feels more sensitive and lighter with a tad more backbone & added length. Can't wait to fish it.

The Exsence DC looks awesome on this rod. Think I'll leave it on for the next season.

I really like the 6'10 medium adrena too. The tip is perfect and its so light for one hand slinging.
