Daiwa Rod breaking taking with it my Stella 8000SW

Post by Wazza79 » Wed Jun 06, 2012 5:35 am

G'day fellow fishos. Thought I'd share my recent experience off the north west coast of Western Australia. Lost the lot due to a faulty Daiwa Monster Mesh PE3-6 rod.
Enjoy & tight lines!

Still not 100% sure but we were getting sharked quite a bit so most likely was a shark. Yeah wasn't reel happy at the time but can see the funny side of it now. My mates commentary is superb! Daiwa did replace the rod for me though and a mate with some good contacts within Shimano Australia managed to get me a new reel for half price, so pretty stoked with the outcome. But cheers for the condolences, wasn't my best day.

I would have probably jumped in and been dragged to my death if I had been able to reach the rod.
