Gary,

I've been away from the site for a while due to working out of state... and I was just wondering this evening what you had been up to... so I log on to see this... I was going to call you... but I'm speachless... plus I'm not sure I want to talk to you right now... I'm so jealous... man after a day like that... I hope the heck you played the lottery that night! WOW!

Hey Jerry -
Hope all is well! When you're ready, get in touch and we'll catch up - hope you're getting ready for some fishing! Glad to see you back here!!

There is a funny side story about that actually - I don't play the lottery... it's just not my thing, but my buddy who was with me that day stopped and bought me a scratch off and I won $25

I have spoiled myself on Falcon. I started fishing it 3 years ago and now its the only lake I want to be on. Amazing day and it just shows what the lake can produce. Headed there next weekend maybe I can just catch a few like that :big grin:

Thanks guys!

Though I sent them photos of all 5 over 10 lbs from that one amazing day, they published a photo from 2 days earlier that week of a 40+lb sack of 5 fish  It is a great photo but I didn't have one of all 5 of the 10+ fish together unfortunately. I do have them all individually and my avatar photo is of a 10-14 and a 10-2. Regardless, I am very happy that Bassmaster Magazine decided it was worth a mention. I've been a life member since I was 8 years old - Thanks Dad!! :big grin:

Congrats as well Gary for making it into the mag ! =D> I have told your story to many of my friends and referenced my phone for the pics of the 10+ fish.

May the fish Gods continue to bless you !

Makes me jealous since i live in a state with a record LMB of only 8lbs.... I can't even imagine a day with a 50lb bag.
Maybe it is time for you to book a ticket to Japan for Lake Biwa  Borrow a few Deps rods on your way though incase you get hooked on a 20+ pounder

Dude...had to necro-mance this post man...with the cold, snowy, rainy, windy day we had here. 8-) :big grin:

Ahhh...I don't think the outcome would ever be quite the same on any body of Colorado water, however. ;)

The weights at Lake Fork TTBC were amazingly huge this last week with 30 and 40lb. bags, but nothing compared to this! This story has got me headed to the garage to grab a rod and hit the lakes in the backyard. There are no 10 pounders, but enough to stretch my line. Can somebody let me know how I can convince my wife to let me take a few days to tow my boat from Cali to Texas to fish Fork and Falcon for a week? Maybe a ring will do the trick. Is there an accepted ratio of karats to days away? :-k
