Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Hmmmmmm.......no fish pics in over a week.......I'll add some from Lac Seul in NW Ontario last week.
Pike and THE ultimate pike combo (IMHO) a Steez XBD and Ryoga 1016 with RCS 1012 spool and Livre machined handle with titanium knobs. I love my pike and this is the best combo overall that I've used.
My wife with a walleye.
Biggest 'eye of the week......old fish with a huge head.
Same fish. Caught on a Storm Giant Flatstick (220mm or 9") and St Croix Legend
Muskie rod with Daiwa Pluton.
'Nother good 'eye
Last fish of the trip......only 48 more weeks until next time!
Matt

The XX rods do match up nicely with the Steez and I want another but the SS SV is calling me and I don't know how much longer I can resist!!

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Here's a few more.
5 1/2 lb bass from Seminole. She was looking kinda rough
Another good bass. I like the colors that showed in this pic.
Been catching a lot of these with the black spots.
A few from the salt.
29" Speckled trout. Way to big to get a good pic by myself. Did what I could.
You know you are working you're Flash Minnow correctly when they eat it like this:
Mangrove Snapper- one of the best eating fish inshore IMO. These guys fight hard for their size.
And a nice violent storm shot:
Thanks for looking.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
First decent fish (6lb Red Grouper) I caught on a custom spiral wrapped Tarpon/Pike/Big Bait/Live Bait rod I made over the winter. Caught a month ago about 7 miles off the coast of Naples, FL on a pinfish I snagged with a bucktail jig and a piece of shrimp.

In that 3rd picture there it looks like a SWEET stretch of lily pads!
Love the lily pads!
Good job, looks like you had a good day.

Love those lily pads. Just too much fun catching them in heavy covers.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
It's a great stretch and in the last 2 trips I've drifted down it 5 times and it's non stop action Plus it's a nice to get the fish out. The other side is super thick and it's getting hard to turn fish. Easily my favorite type of fishing.biggs wrote:In that 3rd picture there it looks like a SWEET stretch of lily pads!

It's my second year with it and I love it. I have feelings it's more sensitive the the XX flip but I haven't used that rod enoughWill-Fish wrote:Nice pictures and great location. Next trip I might switch the reels around to see if I still get as many hits but the last 2 trips I completely out fished to people using same basic baits and the only difference was the rods and my mad skills
