It’s been quite awhile since I hold a big slab. Worth the cold and got up at two in the morning. Only one crappie but damn 5 bass.
That is fine table fare!
I agreed, white flaky meat plus cold water to booth the firm and clean taste. Too bad it 2-3” bigger than I would want. That is okay I can enjoy more slab for years to come after this big mama spawn 100,000 crappies.

A nice 7.1 pound fish on BFS tackle last night. I was on em with a new prototype plastic that I created. It's going to be interesting to see if it catches fish everywhere. My creation caught six on the first seven casts. I don't know if it's that good, or it is just something different that the fish haven't seen. I definitely gave the fish something that they haven't seen in this lake! :big grin:

9-8, 22.5" on an aliexpress chatterbait with a fat impact 4' trailer. For perspective, the rear grip on the 7'H Days rod is 12".

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
