Hooked up with a 5.5 today. Not a giant, but she put up a good fight.

Caught on 12lb flouro on a T3 MX with 1016 spool sitting on a 7'3" MH Cronos. My scale was dead, but she measured out at a little over 21 inches.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Caught this pig on a Chatterbait Elite on my SBR752 and an old TDS with 12lb Hi Seas copoly. Combo worked well together. I found a lighter reel to slap on it, a 7.1 Lew's, which makes it easier to tote around when I'm wading or floating creeks.

I use cheap BPS 7'6" flipping sticks for these beasts....tekota 500 reels and flat lining yozuri crystal minnows and rebel spoonbill minnows.
very simple (and effective) setup. Managed over 10 Kings in the boat yesterday flying solo.
(dropped a bigger king when I mucked up the netting...netting Kings solo is the toughest part )

I don’t target black drum, but when they keep swimming right by you in the shallows you have to drop a jig in their face eventually. Caught on a NRX 843c/Curado 51e, 3/8oz Cadman ballhead jig.

First smallie outing since season is closed on Canadian waters. Took a run to American waters.

7 miles of walking streams yesterday, caught this guy after hiking about 2 miles back. He smacked a Duo Ryuki Spearhead Awabi 60mm.
