Our tradition is that of the first who sneaked away to the creek when tribe did not really need fish

5.8 Rhythm Wave has become my go to this year for sure. Thought they would be a little big for trout, but that’s not been the case. Doesn’t look so big when a 8lb+ Speckled Trout eats it! Been throwing the same swimbait line thru rigged for over a month, caught over a 100 fish and still going strong. Big trout absolutely crush it in an instant! Thump!!

That fish looks like it's from Saturn or somewhere. Awesome shot! You should sell that to Jackall for a trout centered advertising campaign.

 Thank you sir, their colors are definitely bright in the winter! That’s a great thought though, they need to get more involved with the inshore market.

A few from today. #5 Shad Rap on the BFS rig and XR25 XCalibur on the cranking rod. Had something huge take me for a ride, it damn near spooled my little BFS reel. It was likely a snakehead as it pulled like a tractor but never surfaced. It towed me around like a wagon for a couple of minutes until it broke me off and got away with one of my Shad Raps  Anyway, I can't remember fishing this late in the season for quite a long time. New Years day is forecast to be cloudy and in the 60's here, you know where I'll be.

Got a new combo for Christmas, broke it in right the next day. She went 3.5#. Silver Mica Pixy and 13 Fate Green 6-9ML. The rod is moderate and is great for small treble hooks, lots of give without sacrificing control.

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
