Yep, that's will be my familiar pike, that bite each time, just to say "Hello"! :D
I am going to test it this weekend.

Made two trips out of Bodega Bay on a buddy's boat. He fishes all of the time out of Bodega, but they were my first trips. I have fished a fair amount out of SF bay, but never anywhere else in the ocean. I used an Ugly stik and a Lexa 400 on the first trip and a Phenix Abyss 808 and Lexa 400 with 65'lb Power Pro on the second trip. Bigger fish on the fancier rod. I guess that is the Tackletour way! I do really like the Phenix, so I am going to add one to my arsenal. The reel that goes on it is still up in the air.

The lone fish pictured was from the first trip, was easily my personal best at the time. 10lbs plus. Easily broke the PB on the next trip, twice. Big fish went 20lbs plus. Limited on the lings and rockfish in just a couple of hours, both trips. Truthfully, I did not expect, nor had I ever caught a ling over 5lbs, any lings like that. I had the drag on the Lexa close to locked down and those fish still ripped line off the reel on multiple runs. Stout fighters.

And, they make tasty fish tacos!

Sorry about the sideways pictures, could not figure out how to post them properly.

Caught this. I figure it's about a foot long. On a jig of all baits!

Been wading some clear, knee deep grass flats and sight fishing some nice redfish. These fish are in the 26"-27" range and weigh around 8 1/2lbs. Tackle used was an NRX 842C w/CH Ci4+ and a 3/8oz jig with Matrix shad(3" swimbait).

Thanks JD, hope you are doing well and catching some good ones. Fishing has been great and its been a lot of fun sight fishing these tails and wakes! It's tough getting good pictures while wading though.

Sweet set up :) What are your thoughts on the old conquest 401 vs the new 401?

Caught and released my first Northern Pike after 6 hours on the water with my Conquest 200 and F6-72X4!

The little cheap Hudd Imitation held up a lot better after many pickerel hits and 2 pike blow ups!
