If I only had a Lake Amistad in my neck of the woods If one is fortunate enough to hook into a 9 pounder (rare, but realistic), you likely won't see another for quite some time Oh well, I do have small mouth that can push the 7 pound mark, and that's enough to get my adrenaline pumping and the old heart racingbassman_382 wrote:A couple fish from Lake Amistad.

Some pics from a trip yesterday with another TT member (Good351). Not huge numbers of fish, but the quality was fantastic. I even scored a surprise muskie on a 6XD.....just crushed it after I rolled the bait over a log in 16' of water.

Oh no, is that a Daiwa mounted on a Shimano. You can get prison time for that, can't you? Just kidding

Caught this little guy yesterday on my trip to the lake. It ended up being the only bass I caught all day. Got him flipping a grass bed that connected to a boat house. Flipped right beside the wood and he hit it before it touched bottom. I was flipping a Baby Paca Craw in Alabama Craw color with a pegged 1/2oz weight. Powell 7105 flipping rod Shimano Citica E 201 spooled with 20# P-Line Fluorocarbon.

I made the cast and the bass crushed a split second it hit the water.
It made today much better, I also caught a couple big sunfish and a tiny northern on the same lure.
Rapala DT Fat 1, Perch, It's a discountinued or promotional color. I need to find more as the teeth marks in this are a sign that it works. Also means a toothy critter will take off with it eventually. I have retrieved it from broken lines twice now.
If anyone knows where to find these let me know.
Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Just got back in from my week of fishing and camping in Leeds & The Thousand Islands in Eastern Ontario, the weather was crap but it made for a good bite in the shallows. The cool rain and downpours kept fish moving around and always seemed to get bites on our trips back and forth to camp. Here are some of the nicer fish through the week.
The Work Desk
Threw Crankbaits around the rockwalls and got 3 small Pike like this one. Fun fight's over deep water.
Pitching edges with the texas rig jig by powerteam, so many fish this size and a little smaller on that little bait, 3/4oz cause of the steep drops
Chunky largemouth pitching, around 4lbs
Froggin at the dock
Big largemouth of the week, 5.05 on the scale, big fish for up here
Nice bass, love the cover here.
Our shore spot right beside our tents
Chunky fish from the slop, froggin
Another nice fish
Friday Morning, solid fish..love the color of them, well fed.
Want to talk about testing our your frog rod, that 7'4H Cumara took every bit of this pike in that 6ft slop. This fish blew up on that frog and took a few runs with the tight drag, mainly pulled boat and put my rod tip to the surface..Didn't flip this one in, what a rush
Can't help my self...froggin one last time White looking this one was, right beside that rock behind me
Thanks for looking, you guys catch some monster bass down south wow. Love all the pics, keep em coming. Back to work for a few weeks then I'll do it again
