Re: Catching bass in Italy.
Just wanted to introduce myself and show-off a few Italian bass at the same time. Names Bryan and I've been in the Air Force for 16 years now and I just recently got stationed in Italy, I'll be here for the next 3 years and then its back to the states to get ready and retire! So Naturally when your in Italy and you love bass fishing, what do you take pictures of? Cities and buildings rich with history.... Nope, because I have yet to see any of that, I spend all my off-duty time fishing! So here are a few of the bigger bass I've caught on the few occasions I made it out. Enjoy.

Welcome to Tackle Tour Bryan, and thank you for your service
Very nice fish and photos. I always enjoy seeing other parts of the world and their fishing opportunities. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like a great place to be for the next three years, Pizza, Lambrusco and Bass Fishing ...

Thanks guys!
I'll make sure and post some pictures with more diverse scenery as I take them! The lakes here are beautiful like everywhere else, but the more unique fishing they have here is on the rivers that run through most of the cities. Its wild to catch bass from a boat.... 10 feet from someones kitchen window!

I would totally open that window and fish from the kitchen while getting ready for work in the morning.

Those are some nice ones. They are very light in color, is the water dark or dirty? What kind of forage fish do they have over there?
If you are going to post some pictures, make sure to include the curvy type scenery also. That would keep me from focusing on fishing.

Thanks Jighead!
@ flaswimbaiter, the last 2 pictures were in deep-ish water, roughly 20 ft, but the water from that lake was the clearest of any I've fished in italy, probably some the clearest water I've fished anywhere. The other lakes I've fished here range from either very stained to almost mud! The rivers just depend on which part you are in. As for forage, from what I've seen they have what looks like threadfin shad, and they defintely have crawfish. I believe the most predominant fish here is the "white-fish", that is what my Italian friend calls them, and I would imagine the bass prey on them heavily considering there are so many of them and they dont seem to grow very big... Although, I guess because there are so many, that could also mean the bass dont prey on them at all. Oh, and the curvy scenery is everywhere!
@ ecu daniel and socalsteez, let me know if your serious about visiting Italy, this place can be very difficult so feel free to contact me about info or if you need any help with anything. I mean that, Im not just saying it to sound like a nice guy!
