Older school meets New School

Hey -
Below is my newest combo. A older JDM rod (txfc-68mh evergreen Int "stallion")

meets new ADM reel (Shimano Calais 4x8 DC) - that on paper and pics looks very sharp together- and pairs two very versatile components together

However, Balance point is just a tad above the reel seat - which I am hoping doesnt predispose to snapping (would appreciate feedback/opinions) on this

Nice combo! That one brings back memories for me. The calais/antares series is one smooth mother...

Agreed. Those Calais reels are as smooth as butter.
