Very Limited Kistler LTX He2
Very Limited Kistler LTX He2
I was fortunate enough to get a Kistler 6'9'' MH LTX 2008. This model is not available to the public yet, but I know a dealer who was able to acquire one for me.
There are some nice improvements made on this model that were not available on the current model. This rod now has silver winding checks in front of the reelseat, the end of the rear grip, and on the butt cap. Also, the butt cap is now finished off with a polished alloy balance weight that greatly improves the balance of these rods, something that is much needed on the current model. Kistler also extended the length of the rear grip right behind the reelseat. The current model has just a 'nub'. The '08 version will feature the elongated and much more ergonomic rear grip.

Very Nice, I'm definitely glad I waited to get an LTX, thanks for sharing.
Re: Very Limited Kistler LTX He2
That's a really nice looking rod.
Re: Very Limited Kistler LTX He2
Looks great, glad they balanced them. Any chance they'll make the balance weight addition to the LTAs?
Re: Very Limited Kistler LTX He2
That is a great looking rod, but those changes actually came about during the 2007 model year. If you'll check back you can see where I hinted to that a while back. Sure makes a good looking rod, and fishes great too! Congrats!!! The He2MC66 is my all time favorite rod for jerkbaits and topwaters!

Yeah, the changes were announced at ICAST but I've been told they wouldn't be full production until '08. None of the local shops around here have the updated versions. Nonetheless, I am glad they made the changes!splash wrote:That is a great looking rod, but those changes actually came about during the 2007 model year. That is correct, they are not in full production yet, and I also am glad for the changes. It's a great rod as well as a good lookin' stick!

nice stick.. The only thing that could have made it better would be if they made the weight removable. Howver, really nice stick. !

Bass Pro,
Great improvements. Do ya happen to know if Kistler has changed the reel seat manufacturer? A Fuji ESCM II would be nice.
