Blown away by my woman.

Post by GAMEOVER » Sun May 20, 2007 1:10 pm

This isnt really a show thread but rather a tell as im kinda speechless about what just happend recently..

I took my woman out on the pond as she loves to fish to. She can tie her own rigs, knows how to work various baits, and just flat out knows how to land them. Well we got rid of our son for the weekend so he could visit his godmother and some cousins so we decided to go out back. Her weapon of choice before we headed out was a GYCB Shad Shape Worm rigged on a #6 straight shank using braid and a split shot while I decided to start off slow with a Senko. We get out there and she lands a Bass on her 2nd cast. She sees me using my Zillion on my beater Lightning Rod and says hey let me try that out (she never casted baitcasters before). So being hesitant as im expecting one nasty backlash I said sure.. I gave her a two minute crash course about the thumb and she walks away with my rig leaving me with a mauled up Shad Shape Worm on spinning gear  . I watch her first cast (nervously) and she nails it. Im thinking alright beginners luck.. a 2nd cast perfect again.. long story short she casted this thing for about 40 minutes without one single backlash and never have holding a baitcasting rig in her life. I was blown away! Still am..

When we were done shes like I think ill use the Elseil/Steez combo next time hon. :-t :worried:

Nice story...and that is pretty impressive. Chicks that can throw baitcasters are kinda sexy in my book....pg 51, just looked it up.

Sounds exactly like my wife.

Except tor the fact that my wife is the queen of backlashes on spinning gear...and I never let her close to my baitcasters :)
