New Rod from Cal

Post by Lightninrod » Tue Oct 31, 2006 1:55 pm

Just got my Jabberwock Evolution from Cal:

Image

It's my first 'bent' handle rod. Think I'm going to like(love ;) ) it; matched with my black, Custom Daiwa reel. May get to 'baptise' it tomorrow :D and hopefully, will have a pic with a Bass and the new rig.

What's the length and action of the rod? And what are you going to use it for?

Justin: It's 6', 8" in length with MB's "4" rating:

F4 ½-68XFti Jabberwock Evolution (Medium Fast, ¼-1 oz., 8-22 lbs.)

I tied a Vision, 1/2oz, Honeybuzz buzzbait on it tonight but I'll probably change the bait out as the topwater bite has been non-existent at the swamp pond for quite a while. May try a deep crankbait on it?

I found This Link but it seems 3/8oz is what they weigh. Dan's pushing the lower sensitivity range on his Jabberwock Evo at 3/8ths. It's really a remarkable Hot Spot...when you stop, it just freezes in position. Makes a lot of sense to me and D.R. 8-)

PS: I have no idea why that URL isn't acting right... Let's try the Cordell Home Page instead.www.cottoncordelllures.com

You might get to cut and paste a bit to get there... :?
