new toys

Post by tj1004 » Sat Aug 12, 2006 6:03 am

some new additions to the cash pit. will post pics in a few days

Kistler MgTS 6'6'' MH- very light, very sensitive, accurate caster
paired with MetMG
Kistler Helium 2 LTX 7'H- VERY light and extremely well balanced,
awesome rod, paired with MetXT it is my favorite combo...this combo
looks fantastic, hell even my mom said that it was sharp!
GLoomis GLX BCR854- sensitivity is well above par and is easily
the most accurate pitching rod ive used, paired with CH100B
Shimano Metanium XT- cant really tell a difference with this and
my Chronarchs, other than weight and price

plan on ordering a High Speed Zillion (US) in the next week, may wait to post pics until then

yeah ive got 5 other Helium LTAs and have loved them until now! the LTX blows them away. the MgTS is also a really nice rod, i was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and wasnt expecting as nice a rod as it really is. and the BCR854 is EXACTLY what i was looking for in a jig rod.

You will like that Zillion when you get it.

Mine has a primary purpose of C-Rig. It worked out great on Priest last weekend.

I have a Metanium XT as well...it's my favorite reel. I absolutely love it. The Magnesium series Kistlers are great rods as well. I have the "Jig N Toad" and it is perfect for frogging...I just need a good reel to put on it for the same purpose... :|
