Daiwa Pixy cast control cap

Post by romans » Fri Jun 23, 2023 9:03 pm

So a first for me, I managed to lose the cast control cap on my amber pixy. I got a replacement and threaded it on and got the reel dialed back. I have noticed that it appears the cast control cap is not threaded on very far and thinking this is how I came to lose the last one. The reel casts fine but I am wondering if something isnt seated right or something causing the cast control cap to not be threaded on very much. Any ideas?
Thanks

Any pictures to show how far? Since this is your second cast control cap, maybe thread on the reel damaged or dirty?
Showing where cast control cap should be? If you can feel resistance on spool once cap control all the way in, you might not have problem.

What is under the CC cap? There should be a very thin, soft rubber washer, along with a thin copper washer that is square with rounded corners. Also, what does the t-yoke look like under the cap? Does it stick way out or is is pretty much flush to the top of the protrusion that the cap covers?
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
