Living in Japan Megabass Score
Just returning from deployment, I’ve taken a couple of weeks of leave. I decided to swing by my local Tackleberry and see if they had anything interesting. Luckily, I scored four Megabass rods for an absolute steal.
Megabass Orochi XX F7-72XX Perfect Pitch with the plastic still on it for $62.31.
Megabass Orochi XX F6-71X4 Tour Versatile in like new condition for $83.25.
Megabass Orochi XX F3-611XXS Aaron Martens Drop Shot Rod with the plastic still on it for $108.52
Megabass Super Destroyer F6-69X (the one with the Jade handle Cal reviewed in 2004) in like new condition for $106.49.
I honestly doubt any of these rods have ever been fished.
To say I’m extremely pumped with the find would be an understatement. Typically bass gear in Okinawa can be difficult to find as the focus here is primarily salt water. I’m hoping to have many more of these scores over the next two years I’m stationed here.

Congratulations on finding some true gems from Tackleberry, perhaps the only place where one can find a Class S (new and unused) Sedition rod in this time of global supply and inventory shortages. Enjoy your new JDM casting rods!Kimbro1014 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 9:13 pmJust returning from deployment, I’ve taken a couple of weeks of leave. I’d really love to find some Sedition rods in any usable condition. I’m heading up to Mainland at the end of January and hoping to score something special in my used equipment search.City17Banner wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 9:49 pmCongratulations on finding some true gems from Tackleberry, perhaps the only place where one can find a Class S (new and unused) Sedition rod in this time of global supply and inventory shortages. Thanks Redlinerobert! I haven’t seen you around here in awhile. Drooling over your JDM collection over the years has definitely fueled the passion. I hope you’ve been well.

Re: Living in Japan Megabass Score
Thank you. Still around although not fishing much lately. Been busy with other things. Rods, reels, lures and boat collecting dust.
