Anybody know how long it takes for jdmtackleheaven to process an order?

I placed the order Tuesday night and haven’t heard anything back.

I sent a couple emails with no response.
They're a little slower than some of the other Japanese shops. I wouldn't worry about getting your reel though.
^^This for sure. However, in terms of reliability, they’ve been 100% for me for years.

Yes, it does take Kazumi and his folks a bit of time to get everything ready when you order from them, but they are absolutely 100% beyond reproach for reliability after doing business with them for many years.

Ya they finally reached out and said they should have it mailed out soon. I should be getting a tracking number soon.

Thanks

I have the airity 1000 and 2500fc LT models and they are super smooth. I have no complaints on the retrieve smoothness or the drag operation. Best reel for that price I feel

I have an 18 Exist LT 2500-XH an 21 Airity LT 3000S-CXH. I can't tell the difference between the two. The price of the Airity is hard to beat. Unfortunately, I agree with what some have posted about the Airity being a limited run because Daiwa had too many 18 Exist frames and wanted to get rid of them. If this is true, you probably won't see any new stock.

That’s awesome how they’re so similar and so different in price.

There are quite a few on eBay but limited to the 2500 models.

I just got the reel and it’s silky smooth and feels amazing.
It was shipped Tuesday and came this morning which was very fast from Japan.

I’m about to spool it with braid but I’ve never spooled a shallow spool and was wondering if you guys do anything different other than no backing?

Do I need tape or anything?

I just put a piece of electrical tape on the spool and spool the braid on top of that, keeps the braid from slipping and I’ve never had any problems.

I have a bunch JDM shallow spool reels and I just tie braid directly to the spool...no issue so far. I was using 832 in the past and have switched to XBraid upgrade X8 and Varivas X8

Thanks for the feedback guys.

*UPDATE*

The reel is amazing. Incredibly light and ridiculously smooth.

I definitely love it more than my Certate possibly because of the weight but it feels smoother to me for some reason.

I wondered if it would be too light for the Flyssa because of the Flyssas length but it was perfect.

Because it was my first shallow spool, I was also concerned about line capacity for swimbait fishing but I was able to bomb my cast and still have a decent amount of line left.

I had a hard time putting the reel down.

I just want to thank everyone that helped me in this thread because catching these smallies was a blast on this light set up!
