Tungsten in baits

Post by Johnny A » Sat Jul 20, 2019 6:43 am

I've had a few of the new JDM tungsten, more correctly tungsten paste baits. I am getting to be an UN-fan of these baits real quick. I'm not sure what I expected of these baits but easy pitting was not among the traits I did expect.

One of the baits, an Evergreen Jack Hammer. The other bait, an OSP Hunt (not pictured) has a similar issue. This is normal fishing use. No whacking onto rocks, docks or trees. I'm pretty sure the lake bottom is clay and sand. In any case, any one experiencing anything similar?
