Shimano Aldebaran BFS or Aldebaran MGL 30

Post by TOMCAT21 » Thu Jul 18, 2019 3:06 pm

I recently acquired a JDM Megabass Levante F3-67 for finesse techniques - not a fan of spinning tackle. Trying to decide which Aldebaran would be the best match, BFS or MGL. Probably not going below 1/8 oz. Who can help? Thanks!

I have both the mgl 30 and bfs and if youre not going under 1/8 id go the mgl all the way.

Up to 3/8oz and a 8lb FC I prefer the Aldebaran BFS.

I would also consider the Steez CT SW TW if I was in your shoes. Has a super wide spectrum of lures that it can throw. I have been throwing 1/16oz lures with it on my NRX 852c and it can easily go up to 1oz.

Super versatile reel with enough line capacity if you need (otherwise you can spool it only to the half).
