Fenwick Techna GP
Fenwick Techna GP
When was the last time you bought anything in the US and recieved a hand written note and a unique gift?..Me neither..
Christmas came early. Was not expecting these until Friday.
Fenwick Techna GP 7'4 Light, 12 Ti true micro guides, plus tip. The light rating is very decieving, the tip is LML and it works down to a M/MH at the base. Weight 110 grams. Had several reels to choose from and ended up pairing it with the Steez A for balance purposes. Starting out with the MB Honeycomb spool, Hedgehog Air Bearings and 7# Seguar R-18 Fluro, will go to other options if needed. Long Distance Power Finesse is my goal. 5-10 gram soft plastics and hardbaits. Still might play with some colored parts, but looks pretty good from the get go.

Re: Fenwick Techna GP
Awesome. And origami to boot. I got something like that once, but it wasn't fishing related.
I think "bat" is Google Translate's version of butt, like "berry" means belly, "bus" is bass, and so on...

I get all of that confused even reading that verbage several times a day. The lower portion is M/MH probobly more medium, but this rod will have no problem slinging 4 grams. I was worried it would be whippy up top, especially with the rating and length, not at all. Everything I was hoping for, now lets see how it slings.

Sounds like it'll be a fun and versatile stick. The way you describe it makes it sound similar in behavior to a megatop rod.

Beautiful stick. Congrats
Re: Fenwick Techna GP
Nice stick! I have found that JDM Fenwick's shorter rods, 6'4" and below, are as advertised in Power.
Re: Fenwick Techna GP
I received an origami bird from them! It was pretty cool. Knock'em dead with the new rod

Re: Fenwick Techna GP
That is an impressive balance point for a 7'4" rod. I just ordered a 6'10" medium ms-x to round out my arsenal (let's be honest, I don't need it at all) and I'm anxious to see if it's as perfectly balanced as the shorter 6'5" and 6'4" models. If it is, I'd give a gonad for the 7' mh I can't find.

Fenwick still makes a nice stick. digitaka.com sent a little piece of origami with my small knob order this last week. My kids love the origami.
