PM replied - hope this helps with your buying decision. For what it's worth I have really enjoyed fishing this rod this past few weeks. If you're an EG fan, you won't be disappointed.

I have the SuperStallion Black and it is a great rod. It very sensitive, loads awesome, has great feel when you have a fish on and fights fish amazing..lots of control...and it just looks mean. I love to use it to pitch Jigs but it really shines with casting heavier spinnerbaits.

The SS black is my go to casting rod when I can only take one rod. To me, 7'1" is sort of an odd length, but it works along with its wide lure rating to make the rod a very versatile.

Having said all of that, If the RS was available when I made my purchase I would have went with that, I prefer the cork handle. The Black has the double footed guides, I think I read somewhere that the RS has single footed; which I prefer.. and the blank is maybe a bit more "moderate" on the black, geared more for moving baits.

Not sure whether it’s still relevant but I own a EG GT2RS. I’m a wading fisherman, using most often just one rod. I took the GT2RS rather than the black because the guides are the biggest in the Super Stallion series (at that time). Bigger guides make a difference if you use big leaders (I only fish pike so I use 60-80lbs fc leaders).
