I have the Stella C3000 XG FJ on my Conquest 902s and it's an outstanding combo. I am still waiting for my US Daiwa Exist LT3000-CXH to arrive, but I think that the Stella/Conquest will balance out better than the much lighter Exist on the 902s Conquest. The Exist will go on the Steez AGS 761MML spinning rod. It will be interesting to compare flagship rod/reel to flagship rod/reel...

Which one is smoother? I've already felt the 18 Stella...I like the 14 Stella better...

Worst part about comparing these two flagship reels is that you cant compare oscillation drive trains between the two - ever...

How does it perform? Thinking Exist or Stella for my new CNQ 902s.

I have fished it a couple times so far and from the short time i have with it so far i can say it’s my favorite spinning reel. It has a very smooth and refined feel and an incredible drag, so smooth. I find this reel really connects the angler/rod/line together better, so basically a more connected smooth feel. Considering the price one would expect this to be the case. I have a couple ‘14 stella FI’s and this new exist is a better reel in every area for freshwater use IMO. Money well spent :D

The Daiwa Exist 18 "FC" model don't have the Mag Seal in the line roll and the side plates.

Made out of treated magnesium 1 piece frame with a larger main gearing. I do a lot of wading on the rivers I fish and after a few outings my line roller would acted up. I started looking for a new reel and the Exist seem to have what I was looking for until I heard about the FC models. I decided to go with the older models which has the Mag Seal in the line roller.

If anyone wants to let go of their Exist 12 2004H please send me a PM.

I've just received today the 18 Exist 2000S-P model.
Its far the best and most refined spinning reel that I've had, over all models of Stella...more refined and smooth that FI and FJ Stella's...

Agreed. My Exist FCLT2500S-C is simply the best spinner I've ever used. Had my doubts prior to purchase but definitely prefer it over my Stellas.
