I'd love to hear more about them. What size are you looking at?

A friend at Daiwa ordered them for me. They are sitting on a desk in California currently...
Even though it's like 30 degrees here in Minnesota, would like to caress them, Lol.
Yes, 3ea Type II's.

Nope, but they sure are pretty! If I still used spinning gear, this would be the one.

Mine showed up today. Mean joke played on me. They told me they forgot to ship them, and would be gone for the week.
Spool is awesome. Can't wait to try them. They are more of the original Steez gray/gunmetal color than I pictured. They looked all black online.

You would have to be crazy not to buy the Steez 17 for $386 from Japan when the Exist is $700 and the Steez EX is $550 at TW in the U.S. I have recently turned down used reels from my Daiwa staff buddies because I can get a new reel from Japan for less.

Smoothness and overall feel, drag?

I gotta know this to keep me entertained while I wait :big grin:

I found one on Plat under garage sale that was $247 but then they had a handling charge and shipping, it ended up being
higher then other japan sites, I ended up going with Digitaka, now I'm just waiting for shipping info 8-[

Gearing is perfect on all three. It's hard to explain, but they don't spin as effortlessly as the Exist or Steez EX. You have to turn off the anti-reverse to make the rotor spin without turning the handle. Honestly I think it's just less mass. Smaller handle and knob, and smaller rotor. The spool and drag are the business. I spooled one up with 8 lbs braid last night and winged a nose hooked 4" Senko around. The drag does anything you want it to. So far I am very happy. You will be too.
