I want to give finesse fishing a try with casting gear looking for recommendations more interested in JDM equipment.

What baits do you want to throw and are you sure you want a ML? I ask because a find that a L JDM BFS is similar to a ML USD spinning rod in the types of baits they throw.

My first finesse casting rod is/was a 6'9" ML Tfo GTS dropshot rod with an SV105hs and 7lb FC Sniper. Been one hell of a rod, caught thousands dropshotting mainly, but it also excels for fishing tiny swimbaits, darter heads, little grubs, 1/8oz crappie jigs, etc. I know you are looking for JDM tackle though, so I'm not much help there. My TFO is a true ML though and actually feels like a ML spinning rod as opposed to most ML casting rods feel like Medium powered spinning rods.

I was thinking of using it for smaller finesse worms light tackle 8lb line probably as light as i would go. Maybe small spinnerbaits and crankbaits if it will excel at that as well

Majorcraft makes a ton of L and ML rods at a few different price points between like $100 and $250. I have a ML Go Emotion GEC-63ML casting rod and really like it. I feel it is a little more on the "regular" side of "regular fast" but it will handle thin t-rigged plastics well enough. It really shines with small cranks and inline spinners. It seems to top out with a 1/2oz RES, it will fish it fine in open water but does not have the power to rip it through much grass.

I really like it, but I am thinking of selling it as my main BFS rod, a Phenix Recon2 L/F, is very very close to it in action and power. But the Recon is a bit more to the "fast" side of "regular fast" and I fish small plastics more often than small cranks, so it gets picked up far more often.

This would be a pretty easy choice for me based on what's currently available new, with warranty. The 2016 JDM Destroyer Hein F3-610X It's exactly what you need to accomplish the tasks you've listed.

For what's available the Hien is super rad! I also like the 6'4" 2 piece Hyuga that gets lots of attention. I have others but those are currently available ask Mr. GW

Not sure what your price range is, OP? but the ones above is hard to obtain for less than $200, but not impossible.

Look up 2016-2017 Shimano Poison Glorious rod series, definitely better IMO than 2016 Destroyer series.

Daiwa Steez Harrier f-spec.

Even though it's primarily a bottom contact rod and very sensitive, I have thrown mini traps, cranks and topwater just fine. Perfect little bfs shore fishing rod. I have it paired right now with an Ian tuned alphas air. 5 or 6 lb fluoro. Super fun rod.

There are so many options from so many different companies hard to choose.
