I have a very rare Soare BB 1000S. I love the reel. There is actually one on ebay right now. It is the first I've seen since I got mine about 2 yrs ago. The 2000 is the most common size.

I have 13 Soare CI4 + C2000PGSS.
I use it for trout on a bait and soft silicone with small weight.
I love her.
I think the new one will only get better.

The 500 size already doesn't hold much line.
But a 500s. Wow. One cast and all your line would be gone.
I don't know about you guys but I am not a fan of the shallow spools on spinning reels.
Especially on a reel that tiny already.

The spool holds from 65 to 90 yards of line, based on recommended line weights.

Do you really cast 65 yards with an ultralight rod? Or make 50 foot casts and then hook a fish that runs 50 yards?

If you are fishing with an ultralight rod, and 2# or 3# line, how much line do you really need?

I know it's a niche reel.
But honestly how many of us actually use 2 and 3 lbs test.
Even on my 500 size shimano ultra lights, the lowest l will go is 6 lbs mono or 8 lbs braid.
A breakoff or two will leave very little line left on the spool.

This reel would be perfect for using 1-3 pound nano fil or 2-3lb suffix nano braid honestly using braids that thin this little reel sounds like it will be a lot of fun

For bass, no. But I have started using 3lb mono for white perch fishing and so far, other than losing a few lures when I forget and pull to try and snag them, I have not yet had an issue with line strength.

That is what I was thinking, 3lb Nano would be a good option. I run it on my Nasci 500HG and my Sahara 500HG. You could likely squeeze more than the rated amount on, that's likely a mono capacity.

I kind of hate the handle and the paddle looks like it was left over from the Aldabaran.
